Experiences in Varazze

Spending a holiday in Varazze means experiencing a perfect balance between sea, nature, culture and tradition.
This charming resort on the Riviera delle Palme, in the heart of Liguria, offers activities for every season: from excursions in the natural parks to boat trips on the crystal-clear sea.

Nature walks and hikes

Europa Promenade

A scenic 5 km pedestrian and cycle path connects Varazze to Cogoleto. Ideal for walking or cycling, it overlooks rocky bays, small coves and Blue Flag beaches. Not to be missed are the Mizar cave and the picturesque Baia dei Pescatori.
Distance from the hotel: approx. 1 km (easy route – achievable on foot)

Hermitage of the Desert and Hermits' Trail

A flat botanical path leads to the seventeenth-century Hermitage of the Desert, nestled in the tranquility of the Beigua Park. Chapels and caves along the way bear witness to the contemplative life of the Carmelite friars.
Distance from the hotel: approx. 15 km (35 mins, preferably by car)

Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Guard

About an hour and a half's walk from the centre of Varazze, this nineteenth-century sanctuary stands with breathtaking views of the Ligurian coast. A spiritual and nature experience combined.
Distance from the hotel: approx. 4 km – 1 hour 30 mins on foot (uphill road – cannot be driven all the way)

Sea experiences

Whale watching with BMC SEA or with the Liguria Via Mare Consortium, which also organises trips to Portofino and San Fruttuoso.
